After breakfast we go to the province Kakheti, the region of viticulture and winemaking. First we will visit the Bodbe monastery, the burial place of St. Nino, and then – the colorful city Signagi, surrounded by a five-kilometer fortress wall. After a walk around the city, we shall have lunch and taste homemade wine. Ancient Georgian traditional Qvevri winemaking is listed in Intangible Cultural Heritage Monuments by UNESCO. Further we will visit the estate of the prince Alexander Chavchavadze in Tsinandali, a tour around the house-museum and, if desired, a wine tasting in the local wine cellar*. In the evening return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

After breakfast drive to the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta, visit to UNESCO World Heritage Monuments – Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. After lunch* in order to see the high peaks, roaring rivers and mountain lifestyle of Georgia’s northern borderlands we travel to Stepantsminda. Upon arrival in Stepancminda, we change transport and on the 4×4 car we go up to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, which is located at an altitude of 2,047 m above sea level. In the evening we arrival in Gudauri, which is located on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Range. Accommodation and rest. Overnight in Gudauri.
• 9:00 – Drive to Mtskheta. Sights to visit: Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral;
• 13:00 – free time for lunch*;
• Drive to visit Gergeti Trinity Church by 4WD vehicle*;
• 20:00 – Dinner at the hotel*;
Overnight in Gudauri.

After breakfast, we will head towards Western Georgia. On the way in the Mtiuleti province we visit Ananuri fortress and then visit the cave town Uplistsikhe (2 millennium BC); which before the Christian era was the pagan center of the whole region. We will examine this ancient complex with residential caves, wine cellars, an antique theater, visit the medieval basilica. After rest and lunch*, we will go to Imereti and, passing the Ricoti Pass, we will arrive in Kutaisi. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight in Kutaisi.
• 9:00 – Drive to visit Ananuri architectural complex;
• Explore Uplistsikhe cavetown (dating back to 2 st millennium BC);
• 13:00 – free time for lunch*;
• Visit Stalin’s Museum* and the house, where Stalin, the leader of Soviet Union, was born;
• Drive to Kutaisi;
Overnight in Kutaisi.

After breakfast we will visit the educational and spiritual center of medieval Georgia – Gelati monastery (11th c.) and Motsameta church. Lunch at a local resident in the village Gelati. Further we will visit the underground world – the Prometheus caves, famous for their centuries – old stalactites and stalagmites. After dinner* return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.
