Sightseeing tour of the old city, during which we will visit Metekhi church, Abanotubani – district of sulfur baths, Sioni cathedral, Sharden street, Anchiskhati church.

Recommended places to visit: gold fund of the National Museum of Georgia* or the open-air ethnographic museum*. In the evening, a welcome dinner at the restaurant of Georgian national cuisine.*

Tbilisi –Tsinandali – Bodbe – Sighnaghi – Tbilisi

After breakfast drive to the province of viticulture and winemaking – Kakheti.
First wi will visit Tsinandali, the family estate of princes Chavchavadze. A walk through the charming park and an excursion to the house-museum of a well-known public figure and wine tasting in the wine cellar. Then we will have wine testing* and lunch* in a local winery. After all we will visit the Bodbe monastery (6th century), where the educator of Georgians St. Nino rest and then we visit the medieval town Sighnaghi, the “City of Love”. After walking around the city and its fortification wall, we will return to Tbilisi.

Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Stepancminda – Gudauri
(Driving Distance ≈ 315 km / Time ≈ 4,5 hours)

After breakfast we go to the ancient capital of eastern Georgia – Mtskheta, which with its sights – the Jvari monastery (6th c) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th c) is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. After visiting the sights, via the Georgian Military Road, we head to the province of Khevi. After lunch*, we visit the medieval fortress Ananuri (17th c). Then we continue our way towards Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) and through the Cross pass, by passing the Gudauri ski resort, we arrive in Stepancminda. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight in Stepancminda.

Stepancminda – Gori – Kutaisi

After breakfast, on 4x4car we drive to the Gergeti Trinity church located at an altitude of 2 047 m at the foot of the mountain of Kazbegi. Further we go to the Dariali Gorge, where you will have a light hiking to the Gveleti waterfall.
Next, we head towards western Georgia. On the way we have lunch* and at your wish, you can visit the house-museum of Stalin* in Gori and then the Ricoti Pass and Western Georgia, Imereti. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight in Kutaisi.

Gelati monastery – Prometheus caves – Batumi
(Driving Distance ≈ 180 km / Time ≈ 2,5 hours)

After breakfast, visit to Gelati Monastery (11th c.) – the educational center of medieval Georgia, which is under the protection of UNESCO and excursion to the karst caves of Prometheus. After lunch* we head towards the Black Sea coast. Overnight in Batumi.

Explore Batumi, one of the oldest cities inhabited from as early as the third century BC. After lunch* visit the fortress of the ancient and medieval period – Gonio.
