Dariali Gorge  – one of the most spectacular gorges along the Tergi River stretching from the town of Stepantsminda to the Georgian-Russian (North Ossetian) border.  The name comes from the Persian ‘Dar-y-Alan’ meaning ‘Gate of the Alans
