TOUR DESCRIPTION
Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Day 2: Tbilisi – Svaneti
In the morning we leave for Svaneti. On the way we call on the town of Zugdidi, the regional center of Samegrelo province. Visit the palace of the rulers of Samegrelo, the princes Dadiani and the botanical garden. Second stop. Enguri HPP (the length of the reservoir is 36 km.) Arrival in Svaneti - the village Mulakhi. Accommodation in the guesthouse. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Mulakhi - Tviber glacier.
Breakfast. Early in the morning on foot we start moving in the direction of the glacier Tver. On the way we will cross the Mulhura River, pass by the medieval observation tower and continue the path along the massif covered with dense forest. On the way picnic-lunch. The route passes through the gorge along the Tviberi River, north of the village Kabeshi up to Kvitlodis glaciers and Tviberi. The starting point of the altitude of the route above sea level is 1650 m., the final-2310 m. The distance to one end is 6.5 km. duration of the route is 8 hours. Type of way - forest road, trail. In the evening we return to the village Mulakhi. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 4: Mulakhi – Ushguli
Breakfast. We begin the journey by car and towards the village of Ushguli. The village is located at an altitude of 2200m above sea level. Ushguli is a museum under the sky; fragments of the fortress of 12th century, several churches, houses-fortresses, many religious buildings are preserved here. Sightseeing and lunch. Then hiking to the fortress Tamar. The duration of the journey to the Tamar fortress is 2.5 hours. In the evening we return to the village Mulakhi. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Mulakhi – Mestia – Chalaadi glacier
Departure to Mestia. Acquaintance with the surroundings and by cableway we go up to the observation point of Khatsvali (2334m high), from where you can enjoy a stunning view of Ushba. Return to Mestia and hiking to Chalaadi glacier. On the way, a picnic lunch. The route from Mestia to the tongue of Chalaadi glacier is 8 km. hiking 3 km. The rest of the way we go by car. One-way travel time is 2 hours 30 minutes. The initial height is 1400 m, the final is 1920 m. The type of road is a dirt road, a path. In the evening return to the village Mulakhi. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Mulakhi – Martvili – Tbilisi
After breakfast, we shall head for Tbilisi. On the way, in the province of Samegrelo we shall visit the Martvili canyon. The natural monument is a valley cut in the form of a canyon, whose length is 2500 m. Besides, in the middle of the canyon there are small waterfalls of extraordinary beauty, the height of which is about 15 m. You shall have the opportunity to enjoy wildlife and go boating. In the evening arrival in Tbilisi. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
